सिडनी, 24 जुलाई 2025 — भारतीय वाइन संस्कृति की अनोखी झलक इस महीने सिडनी में देखने को मिलेगी, जब भारतीय वाइन बायर–सेलर मीट का आयोजन सोमवार, 28 जुलाई 2025 को प्रतिष्ठित Manjit’s Wharf पर किया जाएगा।
यह विशेष आयोजन Wine Growers Association of India (WineGAI) द्वारा भारतीय वाणिज्य दूतावास, सिडनी के सहयोग और APEDA (कृषि और प्रसंस्कृत खाद्य उत्पाद निर्यात विकास प्राधिकरण) के समर्थन से आयोजित किया जा रहा है। यह कार्यक्रम भारत–ऑस्ट्रेलिया आर्थिक सहयोग और व्यापार समझौते (ECTA) के अंतर्गत वाइन क्षेत्र में सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से किया जा रहा है।
इस आयोजन में भारत के 10 अग्रणी वाइन और मीड उत्पादक हिस्सा लेंगे, जो विविध प्रकार की वाइनों का प्रदर्शन करेंगे — जैसे स्पार्कलिंग वाइन, ड्राय रेड, ट्रॉपिकल फ्रूट वाइन और शहद आधारित मीड। भाग लेने वाले प्रमुख उत्पादकों में शामिल हैं: सुला वाइनयार्ड्स, ग्रोवर ज़ांपा, रिवेलियो वाइन्स, मूनशाइन मीडरी, और सेवन पीक्स वाइनरी।
ऑस्ट्रेलियाई बाजार को भारतीय वाइन के विविध स्वाद, गुणवत्ता और नवाचार से परिचित कराना।
भारतीय उत्पादकों और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के वाइन इम्पोर्टर, होटल व्यवसायियों, रिटेलर्स और वाइन प्रेमियों के बीच व्यापारिक संवाद स्थापित करना।
ECTA के अंतर्गत द्विपक्षीय व्यापार और "वाइन डिप्लोमेसी" को बढ़ावा देना।
WineGAI भारत के वाइन उत्पादकों का प्रमुख संगठन है और अंतरराष्ट्रीय व्यापार, मानकों की मान्यता और बाजार विस्तार में अग्रणी भूमिका निभा रहा है। APEDA का सहयोग भारतीय वाइन के निर्यात को गति देने और वैश्विक मंच पर उन्हें स्थापित करने में सहायक है।
"यह आयोजन केवल स्वाद का उत्सव नहीं, बल्कि एक सांस्कृतिक और व्यापारिक पुल है, जो भारत को वैश्विक वाइन मानचित्र पर एक उभरते हुए खिलाड़ी के रूप में स्थापित करता है," WineGAI के एक प्रवक्ता ने कहा।
इस ऐतिहासिक मौके पर भारत और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के वाइन विशेषज्ञ, खरीदार और उद्यमी एक साझा मंच पर मिलेंगे, जिससे सहयोग और खोज का नया अध्याय शुरू होगा।
A first-of-its-kind Indian wine showcase is set to uncork in Australia as the Indian Wine Buyer–Seller Meet arrives in Sydney on Monday, July 28, 2025, at Manjit’s Wharf. The event promises to spotlight India’s growing wine culture through a curated evening of tastings, masterclasses, and cross-border trade networking.
Organized by the Wine Growers Association of India (WineGAI) in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Sydney, and supported by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), the event marks a significant milestone under the India–Australia Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA).
The meet will feature ten leading Indian wine and mead producers, showcasing a broad spectrum of offerings — from sparkling and dry reds to tropical fruit wines and honey-based meads. Among the participants are acclaimed names such as Sula Vineyards, Grover Zampa, and Reveilo Wines, alongside innovative newcomers like Moonshine Meadery and Seven Peaks Winery.
Key Objectives of the Event:
Introducing the diversity and innovation of Indian wines to the Australian market.
Fostering connections between Indian producers and Australian importers, sommeliers, restaurants, and retailers.
Advancing wine diplomacy and trade partnerships through ECTA.
The gathering aims to attract professionals from across Australia’s vibrant wine and hospitality industries, offering them a taste of India's evolving viticulture and regional expressions — from the strawberry wines of Panchgani to tropical meads of Mysore.
"This event represents more than just wine tasting — it’s a cultural and economic bridge," said a spokesperson from WineGAI. “It’s about recognizing India as an emerging player on the global wine map.”
WineGAI, as India’s apex body for wine producers, has been instrumental in spearheading trade dialogue and facilitating mutual recognition of wine standards under ECTA. With APEDA's continued backing, Indian wine exports are receiving growing international attention.
The evening is expected to be a landmark moment in India–Australia wine relations, opening doors for bilateral collaborations and new market entries.
