Sydney, September 5. Heris Park, the cultural and culinary hub of Western Sydney, is set to benefit from a new green transport initiative. The area’s leading organisation, Little India Business Inc., has been awarded a grant of $45,000 to implement an eco-friendly transport project. The announcement was made today by Member for Parramatta, Donna Davis.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Davis said the initiative will help tackle the growing problems of traffic congestion and parking shortages in Heris Park. She highlighted that the project will not only ease transport issues but also strengthen the appeal of the area as a vibrant business and community hub.
Public Relations Officer of Little India Business Inc., Dr. Subba Rao, outlined the details of the project. With the support of the grant, a 14-seater electric bus service will be introduced, connecting passengers from surrounding locations to Heris Park.
Dr. Rao explained that the service will allow visitors to access the area without bringing their own vehicles, thereby reducing the demand for parking and easing congestion. “This project is environmentally friendly and will directly benefit local businesses by making it easier for customers to reach them,” he said.
Heris Park is renowned for its Indian subcontinent-inspired restaurants, shops, and cultural experiences. Local business owners have welcomed the initiative, believing it will encourage more visitors and boost trade.
Community members have also expressed excitement, viewing the project as a practical and sustainable solution to long-standing transport challenges in the area.
While announcing the grant, Ms. Davis praised Little India Business Inc. for its integrity and transparency in working for the community’s welfare. She said, “This project represents a positive step towards a greener future for Heris Park while supporting the businesses that are the heart of this community.”
सिडनी, 5 सितम्बर। पश्चिमी सिडनी का हेरिस पार्क क्षेत्र अब ग्रीन ट्रांसपोर्ट की नई सौगात पाने जा रहा है। इस क्षेत्र की प्रमुख संस्था लिटिल इंडिया बिज़नेस इंक. को ग्रीन ट्रांसपोर्ट परियोजना के लिए 45,000 डॉलर का अनुदान प्रदान किया गया है। यह घोषणा आज स्थानीय सांसद और पाररामट्टा की प्रतिनिधि डोना डेविस ने की।
सांसद डोना डेविस ने कहा कि यह परियोजना न केवल हेरिस पार्क में बढ़ते ट्रैफिक जाम और पार्किंग की समस्या को कम करेगी, बल्कि स्थानीय व्यवसायों और निवासियों के लिए भी सुविधा लेकर आएगी। उन्होंने कहा, “हेरिस पार्क भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप की संस्कृति और खानपान का बड़ा केंद्र है, यहाँ बड़ी संख्या में लोग आते हैं। ऐसे में ट्रैफिक दबाव को कम करने के लिए यह एक प्रभावी कदम साबित होगा।”
संस्था के जनसंपर्क अधिकारी डॉ. सुब्बा राव ने जानकारी दी कि इस अनुदान से एक 14-सीटर इलेक्ट्रिक बस शुरू की जाएगी। यह बस शहर के विभिन्न हिस्सों से यात्रियों को लेकर हेरिस पार्क तक लाएगी और वापस छोड़ेगी।
डॉ. राव ने कहा कि इस सुविधा से स्थानीय लोग और पर्यटक बिना निजी वाहन लाए आसानी से यहाँ पहुँच सकेंगे। इससे पार्किंग की समस्या में कमी आएगी और सड़कों पर भीड़भाड़ घटेगी। उन्होंने बताया कि यह बस पूरी तरह पर्यावरण-अनुकूल होगी और ग्रीन एनर्जी से संचालित होगी।
हेरिस पार्क भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप के भोजनालयों, किराना दुकानों और सांस्कृतिक केंद्रों के लिए प्रसिद्ध है। यहाँ रोजाना बड़ी संख्या में लोग खरीदारी और खाने-पीने के लिए आते हैं। डॉ. राव का कहना है कि इस परियोजना से ग्राहकों की संख्या बढ़ेगी और दुकानदारों को सीधा फायदा मिलेगा।
व्यवसायिक संगठनों का मानना है कि ग्रीन ट्रांसपोर्ट की यह पहल हेरिस पार्क को और आकर्षक बनाएगी और इससे न केवल व्यापार बल्कि पर्यटन को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा।
